This market has been sold to badly for a decade, and it has got good at spotting it. So here is the ground we are not standing on.
- It does not soften water. Nothing that screws onto a shower arm does — hardness needs an ion-exchange softener and a plumber. If a filter brand tells you otherwise, buy a hardness strip and check them.
- It is not a treatment. Visentri does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything. If your skin is broken or infected, that is a conversation with a doctor, not a shopping one.
- We do not lead on a stage count. The category has run 15-stage, 17-stage, 20-stage into the ground and this audience learned to discount it years ago. What matters is the media and the contact time, not the number on the box.
- On a chloramine supply the shift is slower and less dramatic even when the cartridge is doing its job. We would rather tell you that now than have you think we sold you a dud.
